In the Super Duplex Check valve in order to keep the fluid moving there are two openings. Both condensate pumps and sump pumps use a check valve for backflow protection. When the pump is active the pressure pushes the valve open, letting water flow through the pipes, after the pump shuts off the weight of the valve pushes the valve closed and keeps rubber tightly against the valve seat. Without the check valve gravity pulls the water back into the reservoir. |
